Eligible small businesses can apply to obtain full access to a FedMap, a premier network for government contracting professionals, at no cost, through a generous grant from the SBA 7(j) Training program.
Our goal is to empower businesses to excel in federal contracting, whether as prime contractors or subcontractors. Our FedMap program, provided at no cost to eligible small businesses, has helped participants win over $2.6 Billion in prime contract awards, to date.
What is included in this 7J training program?
One-to-One Training Sessions
7J eligible participants will have the opportunity to request a private training session with one of our seasoned government contracting experts. While we’ll do our best to accommodate all participants, there’s is a limited availability of these free one-to-one training sessions.

A Network of Professionals
You will have access to a network of government contracting processionals where you can connect with dedicated peers, fostering personal and professional growth. Companies in the FedMap network are focused on building success through shared expertise and mutual challenges.

Live and OnDemand Events
With your FedMap access, you can join our monthly live events, each addressing topics crucial for government contractors. Make sure to participate and come prepared with your questions. We prioritize interactivity to address your specific concerns. Plus, you get full access to recordings of all of our past events.

Who is eligible to receive access to FedMap and services under the SBA 7(j) grant?
Firms eligible to receive 7(j) services must meet one or more of the following:
- SBA 8(a) certified;
- SBA HUBZone certified;
- Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB);
- Owned by a socially and economically disadvantaged individual;
- Located in a high unemployment or low income area, as defined in the U.S. Census Bureau’s County and City Data Book and in the Poverty Guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Meaning that my county’s OR metropolitan area’s annualized unemployment rate exceeds the national annualized unemployment rate. Refer to the following three Department of Labor Data maps to determine qualifying locations:
- Owned by a low-income individual, as defined in under HHS Poverty Guidelines. Firm is majority-owned by one or more individuals each with a low income. “Low income” means an individual whose income does not exceed the following levels, as reflected in last year’s tax return: $42,400 for metropolitan areas or $31,300 for non-metropolitan areas.
- Business will not qualify for the scholarship if they:
- are not a small business.
- not based in the USA.
- are a non-profit.
- receive revenue from gambling.
Who should participate?
Eligible companies that are looking to grow their government sales. FedMAP supports those responsible for company’s business development success, which could include the business owner, company executives, program managers, capture managers, or business development leads.
Can more than one person from a company sign-up?
Yes. Each person should submit their own application, but anyone in your eligible company can participate!
Do I have to be a local firm to participate?
In order to participate at no cost, companies must meet eligibility and reside in the following locations OH, IL, IN, MI, MN, WI, AR, TX, LA, NM, OK, IA, KS, NE, or MO.

How much does it cost to participate?
No, SBA provides financial support so that so that eligible companies can have access to the beneifts of FedMap at no cost.
